Our old O’Day 28 came to an unfortunate end on the freeway. The Genoa was torn up a bit, but was still a massive amount of high-tech material. Surely I could make something out of it. I got some great ideas of What can I EASILY make out of an old sail on one of my favorite forums, SailNet. After a couple of hours, I am rather pathetically proud of myself for having made a duffel-type bag and a small ditty toy bag that nests inside.
This is version I of my attempt. I think the bag ended up too fat and not tall enough. Once I have it perfected, I’ll post the measurements. I also plan to try to make a few other things, as the First Mate informs me, “don’t we have enough bags?”
